Soundbox is a sound, performance, and visual arts festival. This year's theme is Stargazers: Space, Sound & Image. https://sites.google.com/view/soundbox9-stargazers-space-sou/schedule A spaceship on the moon, inspired by PRAx building materials and architecture, featuring an exhibit of photographs taken of the night sky by URSA students and faculty at the Pine Mountain Observatory in the Eastern Oregon desert. Soundbox is sponsored by the school of visual, performing and design arts. Space ship modeled entirely in virtual reality in a software called Gravity Sketch. https://gravitysketch.com Ship was built using the materials of the PRAx building through photographic representation of the wood it is built from. These textures were sculpted into a ship form inspired by the unexpected angles of the building itself. In the center there is a light show homage to the art in the lobby of the PRAx.
